Brilliant, silvery surface displaying full mint luster and a complete absence of toning. Issued at the height of World War II, only 12,560,000 quarters were struck at the San Francisco mint in 1944. Approximately 5,300 specimens have been graded by NGC and PCGS. Conditionally rare, this MS67 specimen is exceeded in grade by just over a dozen coins graded MS68. Exceptionally clean surfaces make this a rarity even among its MS67 peers.
