Clean steel gray surfaces radiate through this 1943 Lincoln cent from the Philadelphia mint. This charming example is graded MS65 by NGC. Shortages and rationing of key war materials led the mint to adopt a zinc coated steel planchet for the 1943 Lincoln cent, rather than a standard copper alloy. Widely collected, and generally available in high grades. This is a great entry point for the steel cent collector.
