A bright copper-red superior gem 1942-S Lincoln cent from the San Fransisco mint. This example has near flawless surfaces and a bold strike. It is graded MS67 Red by PCGS. The 1942-S issue was substantial, with the money supply expanding rapidly in the growing US wartime economy. This example is above average at MS67 with only five graded by PCGS finer at MS68. This is a handsome example of the issue.
