A well defined, frosty 1941 Washington quarter from the Philadelphia mint. This gem specimen retains frosted original surfaces with gentle russet toning along the rim and is graded MS66+ by PCGS. The 1941 Washington quarter saw a significant increase in mintage, nearly doubling the output of the Philadelphia mint from the year prior in response to the enormous expansion of the US economy driven largely by the expanded war effort. PCGS lists only 150 finer pieces, placing this example in the top 4% of graded examples at PCGS.
