1903 Liberty Head Gold Quarter Eagle MS61 NGC

(No reviews yet) Write a Review

This mint state quarter eagle has lustrous, highly reflective surfaces and retains sharply struck details. This example grades MS61 by NGC.  In most years of the nearly seven decades the Liberty Head motif graced the quarter eagle, the denomination was generally struck in modest numbers (<30,000), apart from a few blow-out years in the mid-19th century.  Beginning in 1900, production again ramped up considerably.  The mint issued just over 200,000 Liberty Head Quarter Eagles 1903, making it a fairly obtainable issue for the series.
