This is an exceptional example of the 1886 Morgan Dollar from the Philadelphia mint. While the 1886 Morgan dollar is readily available (nearly 300,000 graded examples exist), there are only about 1,500 graded examples with Deep Prooflike designations between both NGC and PCGS. This example, sporting a classic holder, is graded MS64 DPL. Less than 85 examples grade finer in the DPL designation at NGC. This example has bright, mirror-like fields and frosty details. The obverse has a rim of burgundy toning that gives way to brilliant metallic blues through the motto. The reverse is similarly adorned with burgundy and blue toning about the perimeter. A simply amazing coin in the hand.
