A beautiful, mint state example of the 1880 Carson City Morgan dollar from the GSA hoard. This radiant beauty has clean surfaces with only the slightest of contact marks, beautiful light play when turned over in the hand, and the slightest frosting of amber tone at the periphery. This example is graded MS63 by NGC. The 1880 issue was one of the lower Morgan dollar mintages with a total issue of only 591,000 coins. Only nine other Morgan dollars of the 94 issued had a lower mintage.
