Excellent detail and bright, reflective surfaces adorn this beautiful example of the 1877-S trade dollar. This example has the AU Details designation from NGC. While the same diameter as the Morgan silver dollars that would follow it, the Trade Dollar had a slightly higher silver content and was issued primarily for export to boost trade with Asia. The 1877-S issue was the most common mintage of all trade dollars. This is a beautiful example of the type.
