This gently circulated 1874 Seated Liberty dime from the Philadelphia mint shows gentle wear consistent with the AU Details designation from NGC. NGC lists only 360 encapsulated 1874 dimes with most earning a circulated designation. The 1874 dime was produced with arrows flanking the date to indicate the change in weight to 2.5g from the previous 2.48g mandated by the Mint Act of February 12, 1873 which aligned coin weights with metric measurement as most of the world had already done.
