A beautiful 1873-CC Seated Liberty half dollar struck at the Carson City mint. Graded VF30 by PCGS. The coin displays a nice retention of features only gently softened by light circulation. The Seated Liberty half dollar was only struck for nine years at the Carson City mint (1870 – 1878). The 1873 issue is a rarity in any grade - it's estimated that fewer than 500 examples exist of the original mintage of 122,500 coins - and only a handful exist in mint state condition. Average condition for the issue is F15. This coin grades well above average for the issue.
