A well preserved example of the 1858 Small Letters Flying Eagle cent. The modern small cent diameter was introduced in 1857 with the Flying Eagle cent - a cent type that lasted only two years as a business strike. This example is graded XF40 by NGC. Despite circulated condition, this example retains excellent detail in the feathers and wings - with only minor softening of features.
