A well preserved 1838 Capped Bust half dollar from the Philadelphia mint. This example retains sharp, almost uncirculated detail and original surfaces. Its life in circulation has left it with several nicks at the rim, but the faces remain reflective and full of detail through the deep bronze patina. One of the more available issues in the limited four-year reeded edge Capped Bust design.
